For those of you who follow my Instagram, you might have seen my send this one out:
Brown paper packages tied up with… heavy duty tape? Well the song doesn’t really work, but it is still a very exciting box to show up on your door.
Inside was my new perfume: the Nest Fragrance Amazon Lily.
First comment is the lovely packaging. I am such a sucker for Nest’s packaging because it feels luxurious and has amazing art work. Their bottles are all Inspired by the works of 18th Century British artist Mrs. Mary Delany.
The notes are Brazilian Lime, Tangerine, Amazon Lily, Driftwood, Musk. The end result is a very clean scent that manages to not smell like soap.
I was initially surprised at the size of the bottle. I got the 100mL bottle, but check it out compared to the 100mL Chanel Chance:
The reviews on this fragrance are not positive so I was very hesitant, but thus far, I like it. Maybe I just like smelling like cleaner?
Update – the beautiful scent got returned. Turns out my husband thought it smelled like clorox and flowers. It also made him sneeze. Sigh. Pretty anti-climatic end.
