Boo. Sorry guys, but wordpress decided this post was not going to happen. It has deleted it three times. *sadface*
I spent $72.87. It was like an evil, hungry monster took over my body and forced me to buy all the groceries. The only thing that makes me feel better is we did host a dinner party and our church small group in the same week.
So, what did we eat:
Saturday night: we hosted a dinner party. On the menu was a pea crostini, spring green salads, chicken thigh osso bucco, mashed potatoes, roast asparagus, buttered peas and carrots, and carrot cake for dessert.
Sunday: swordfish, rice, and asparagus.
Monday: Slow cooker buffalo chicken with onions and steamed cauliflower. It was lazy and easy, which we needed since we both got home at 8:30.
Tuesday: Slow cooker orange chicken, white rice, and sesame cucumber salad.
Wednesday: I threw together a quick Asian swai, sesame zoodles, and white rice.
Thursday: this night we hosted small group. I made Korean pork bbq, fried rice, white rice, and sesame noodles. The sesame noodles were so easy and were a big hit. I’ll be adding them to my entertainment list.
Friday: Z. made me a special Friday shake, which was a nice switch!
Dinner, we had to rush since we had opera tickets. We threw together this zucchini cheesy breadsticks, which was a better idea then it ended up tasting. I’m looking forward to playing with the recipe a bit. A word of advice, when she says make them thin, make them thin. Trust me. Otherwise, you have egg-y breadsticks. Or quiche as I like to call it.
